ASCS just completed training 80 DUCT contract employees in “Basic Self-defense & awareness training”. Main tasks of encumbents is to clean river beds, educate the community on water environmental preservation issues, and eradicating alien plant species etc. along the Msuzduzi river
It is going to be a great new year, and we here at ASCS are looking forward to fun and exciting times.
Already we are kicking off the year with training at Hoërskool Voortrekker. This will be our second round of training with the students there. The outdoor aerobathon will be action packed with fun activities including aerobics, zumba and kick boxing conducted by Planet Fitness Gym. Alongside the aerobathon a self-defence session will be conducted by African Shield Combat Systems and Prestbury SAPS to enlighten attendees on how to react when confronted with an attack.
Miss Bachelorette South Africa 2020 finalist, Siphuxolo Mazwi is taking a stand against acts of gender based violence during the sixteen days of activism for charity with the aim of raising funds for ThyRest Restoration Home, which is serving women from all socio-economic backgrounds, who have been victims/survivors of sexual abuse; rape; human trafficking.etc R100 tickets at webticket or Pick n Pay August is Women's Month and ASCS is providing FREE workshops for ladies groups in and around PMB. Thanks to Voortrekker High for hosting us for 8 weeks to work with their students. Everyone had a good time, and learned a lot.
We are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of ASCS!
Thanks to the tireless effort and commitment of Gus Hornsby, who has had such a positive influence on all of our lives. Looking forward to the next 10 years.
